What I've been up to!

Image
Hey! How are you? I am good and have been keeping busy and safe! So I just thought I'd let you know what I’ve been up to! For starters I’ve started a bullet journal! I have been debating it for a while, and finally decided to just do it. The theme I used for May was colourful flowers! Inspired by Amanda RachLee’s bullet journal setups! I have a habit tracker with things like Journal, Vitamins, and Reading! I also have a Mood Tracker, so each day I colour in a flower with a colour from the mood chart, red is the saddest and yellow is the happiest! There is also a weekly spread in which each morning I write down what I want to get done that day! Overall I highly recommend starting one, it’s the perfect way to add creativity to your planning! I have also been working on my felting business. I was originally planning on opening an Etsy store. This time last year I was getting ready for my first ever craft sale. But because of Covid 19, this year it was cancelled. So I thought to ...

Ways to get into the spring spirit

Image
Spring is one of my favorite times! I love to open my window for the first time since September, and watching the sun come out earlier and going down later. But currently, we're all stuck inside, so most of the spring things we're used to doing like going for long walks in the sunshine with our friends, or celebrating Easter with our family, we are unable to do. So this list will hopefully get you into the spirit of spring! 1. Do Some Baking From cookies to cakes baking is one of my favorite ways to get into the spring spirit. You can make some sugar cookies and decorate them with pastel icing, or bake a lemon or carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and decorate them with eggies my favorite Easter treat! 2. Craft This one is super fun! You can felt or knit. Last year my mom and I found a pattern to knit little egg decorations, it was so cute! If you have styrofoam eggs you can felt on them with pretty egg designs, you could also actually dye some eggs and put them...

11 things to do when your under quarantine

Image
Hey guys! So I know that there’s a sickness going round that has caused a-lot of people staying home in their house. I just came back from vacation so me and my family have to stay under quarantine for 2 weeks. So I thought I would put together a list for you guys with things to do under quarantine! 1. STRETCH OR EXERCISE  You know that video on YouTube in your “watch later” about getting the splits? Well, it’s time to put it to use, when's a better time then when you are stuck at home doing nothing? But of course, if you are feeling sick maybe lay off the hard work and try this next one. 2. DO A PUZZLE  Dust off that old puzzle that’s been laying on your coffee table for a year unopened and put aside that excuse of “There’s probably pieces missing” and put it all together! 3.LISTEN TO A PODCAST OR AN AUDIOBOOK  I love listening to podcasts like, “Dear Hank And John” and audiobooks, like “Harry Potter” or “Anne Of Green Gables” it’s like reading a book witho...

I’m in Mexico!

Image
Hey! I hope your all doing well and staying healthy. Me and my family have arrived in Mexico! My grandparents have a house there which we usually visit yearly but didn’t last year, so it was all the more exiting getting onto our plane.  From our home town to Toronto is about a 2 hour flight and from Toronto to Cancun Mexico is about 4.5 hours. My grandparents house is in a little fishing town just outside of Cancun, and has grown so much since our first ever visit back in 2013. The plane ride was long, but I past the time watching some “Stuck In The Middle” and reading a new magazine called “Showstopper” a dance magazine, which was entertaining. Anyway, enuf about the ride here, and more about Mexico! The first couple of nights I was sick with light headedness and dizziness from dehydration, so those days we kinda just laid low, with occasional walks on the sandy beach. After I was over that we began swimming and the good times began! I’ve been in the pool every day since arriv...

My 13 Birthday

Image
Hello! Sorry, it's taken me so long to upload this, it has after all been 2 weeks since my birthday, but I really wanted to let you guys know how it went! So on Friday night, all my friends came over for my party which was a Mystery party called "Turmoil At The Talent Show" it was tons of fun! We each had a character who we had to act as for the whole party, for instance, my name was Nobel Umbridge I hade a fear of germs and a love to debate everyone about everything! The game was set into 3 rounds, the first one I performed my talent routine assigned to my character, the Napolean Dynomite dance! Then the next performance was of Green Eggs and Ham, then a Latin reading of a gothic poem and so on! Then after finishing round one, we sat down for dinner, a Kitchen Sink Salad and Mozza sticks! During our dinner, the talent show received an odd phone call saying that the talent show must not go on! Then out came the cake, a Rose Pomegranate and Chocolate Cake that I made and ...

Happy New Year 2020!

Image
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great 2019 and will have an even better 2020! On New Year's Eve, my family went to my friend's house out in the country! We had tacos for dinner which were really good. Then we all went outside for a bonfire! They had set up projection lights on the trees and they were super cool! It was already dark so we decided to play a game of "sardines" when one person hides then the rest have to find them, then when you find the person you need to hide with them until there is one person left! After a couple rounds of that, my friend and I went inside to heat up their sauna! After getting in it we decided to jump into the snow! Something I had never done before! It wasn't very cold out and even with just my bathing suit it wasn't bad, but I couldn't get myself to belly flop in like I could have, instead most of the time I just cannonballed leaving my legs and feet tingling! We jumped in a good 7 times and after that decided to wa...

Cutting down are christmas tree

Image
Hello! I hope everyone is excited for Christmas! We just got our tree up on Saturday. On our way out to my Baba and Nonnos house, we stopped at Tim Hortons for a hot chocolate and reindeer donut which we had been eyeing for a while! We spent a while choosing are tree finally settling on a nice full pine! We all helped cut it down then we dragged it back, the weather was very nice plus 2! When we got home and put the tree up it was way more "Charlie Brown" than anything, but we all decorated it and danced to cheesy Christmas music! Then after dinner we all sat down and watched Elf our favorite Christmas movie!

Candy cane bark!

Image
So today my mom, brother and I started making some of our favorite Christmas bark, for a Christmas cookie swap! The first part of our tradition is digging out the ripped out page of a magazine labeled 2003 LCBO Food and Drink magazine https://www.lcbo.com/lcbo/recipe/peppermint-bark/200306040#.XfKqfdVKFz8 , from our Christmas box deep in the basement! After that, we began weighing and measuring the dark chocolate! Then after it's melted in a double boiler drop some peppermint oil in, then spread it out on a tray, leave it out in the freezing front porch to freeze in -20. Then after an hour we took it in and melted the white chocolate added peppermint then spread it over top, added crushed candy cane let it freeze then voila! I love this colorful chocolaty sweet, and making it with my family is all the sweeter!!!

Goodbey Anne

If you have followed the CBC/ Netflix series Anne with an E for the past 3 years you will know that the version of the classic Anne of Green Gables is a  darker modernized  version but none the less will transport you to the beloved story. All three seasons I have laght cried and felt the magic! But sadly " We have reached the end of the red Green Gables road after 3 wonderful seasons." Said Moria Walley-Beckett writer/Exec Producer Anne with an E . So for this blog post I would like to say thank you to Anne with an E for being a show that I could watch with my whole family talk about with my friends and feel it in my heart. And if you ever come back with a 4 season I will dey my hair green (; (;

MY THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

Image
Hello, everyone! Happy yesterday Thanksgiving! I'm sorry I have not posted anything new lately but I have been really busy. My parents went to our camp for the weekend and my brother and I went to our Grandparents. The first two days we went to our Grandmas and Grandpas and it was my Grandmas's birthday on Friday, so we face timed my older cousin living in Vancouver and my little cousin and Uncle came over.  Later she opened her gifts ( well my four-year-old cousin did most of the unwrapping) we enjoyed some glutenfree pumpkin cupcakes I had made the day before with a large amount of cream cheese frosting in between! Then the next day my other older cousin came over and my little cousin again, we celebrated thanksgiving with them that night. Then the next morning my brother, little cousin, Grandpa and I all went for a walk, my cousin was cold so I gave him my jacket that went down to his feet, that was very cute. Then after lunch, my Baba and Nonno came and picked us up, on t...

MINNEAPOLIS

Image
Hey! Last weekend my family and I went on a little road trip to Minneapolis, Minnesota. We spent one night in Duluth. The trip to Duluth takes about 2 and 1/2 hours and from there to Minneapolis another 3 hours.  When we were in Duluth we went to a really cool train museum and they had tons of trains there, sadly I didn't get any pictures. After a big breakfast at the hotel, we set off, in the car I watched some Anne with an E, and me and my brother did some Mad-libs! We went to Minneapolis last year in the spring to see a baseball game but for some reason, I forgot how big it was. The buildings were so tall! When we got to our hotel room ( the Raddison Red ) there was a big projector in the lobby with pictures of people, we later found out it was a photo booth where you could take a selfie and it would be up there! Once we got settled in, we kinda just chilled in the hotel room for the rest of the day, it had been a long day. In the morning we took the light rail, greenline to...

Camp!

Image
I left for our camp on Saturday, with my Mom Dad and Brother, after coming home from our Grandmas and Grandpas. We set out around 4ish for the 2-hour drive. We stopped at my Baba and Nonnos garden for some vegetables! The car ride there was warm. I mostly listened to a podcast, but sometimes I looked out the window and observed the rivers and lakes they were everywhere! When we arrived at the dirt road which meant our camp was not far! We all rolled down our windows and looked if we could see any blueberries.  There were not as many as last year, so we kept driving down the long dirt road, passing a large sandpit in which I usually ride the quad in with my Dad! We finally reached a faded wood sign saying encamp(left) savoy (right).  Our camp was on encamp so we turned left and two seconds later I saw the first camp and a sliver of a calm lake behind it. Turning right was a long line of camps all buried in trees. We kept driving until we saw are camp right after a Moose cross...
